The large factories present in the industrial areas of every city have always aroused in me, as in many authors of the past, a great interest, finding something special and fascinating in the shapes of the buildings and, the times I got to enter, in the gears of the machinery inside. The final result, very often, is the mirror of all this. A product ready to be displayed and sold.
The fact that all these passages are not visible to our eyes because they are carried out within the walls creates an aura of mystery which, consequently, creates curiosity.
With these photographs, I would like to perceive the mystery and the fascination that one feels in front of a factory. That same mystery makes us want to enter to "see" what happens inside.
Photography can describe these places which, caressed by the light, become “tame monsters”, whose beauty lies in their marginalization.
The arrangement of the photographs is aimed at giving a certain dynamism and at the same time telling the various moments of the day in chronological order: from the first light of the morning to the lights of the night.

Le grandi fabbriche presenti nella zone industriali di ogni città hanno sempre suscitato in me, come in tanti autori del passato, un grande interesse, trovando qualcosa di speciale e affascinante nelle forme degli edifici e, le volte che ho avuto modo di entrare, negli ingranaggi dei macchinari presenti all’interno. Il risultato finale, molto spesso, e’ lo specchio di tutto questo. Un prodotto pronto per essere esposto e venduto.
Il fatto che tutti questi passaggi non siano visibili ai nostri occhi perché svolti all’interno delle mura crea un alone di mistero che, di conseguenza, crea curiosità.
Con queste fotografie vorrei far percepire il mistero e il fascino che si prova di fronte ad una fabbrica. Quello stesso mistero che ci fa venire voglia di entrare per “vedere” cosa succede all’interno.
La fotografia ha la capacita di descrivere questi luoghi che, accarezzati dalla luce, diventano “mostri addomesticati”, la cui bellezza risiede nella loro emarginazione.
La disposizione delle fotografie è volta a dare un certo dinamismo e allo stesso tempo raccontare in ordine cronologico i vari momenti della giornata: dalle prime luci della mattina fino alle luci della notte.
